Retirement
It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing the retirement of Jim Grieve, President of Hub Sinclair Cockburn. This is Jim’s decision and reflects his desire to spend more time with his wife, Leanne and their family.
Jim has been an integral part of the growth of Sinclair Cockburn since 1994. Assuming the role of President in 2007 Jim led Sinclair Cockburn to be awarded the Broker of the Year in 2009. Since Hub’s acquisition of Sinclair Cockburn in 2010, Jim has been working closely with me and our Executive Team to help build Canada’s Brokerage of choice for colleagues and clients.
While Jim is officially retiring as President, he is not going anywhere! - and he will be assuming the role of Vice Chairman, responsible for retaining certain key accounts. Over the next few months, Jim will be assisting in the transition of the new leadership team at Hub Sinclair Cockburn.
Please join me in congratulating Jim in this new chapter in his life and my sincere thanks for his leadership!
Jim’s retirement has provided an opportunity to review the structure of the Management Team at Hub Sinclair Cockburn and as such I am very pleased to announce the following leadership changes across our Ontario operations. As such, effective October 1st, 2011:
Mike Tinker, currently Executive Vice President of Operations at HKMB will assume the role of President, Hub Sinclair Cockburn. Mike has been working with Rob Keilty in downtown Toronto at Hub HKMB and has been managing that vibrant office with Rob. I know Mike will look to leverage the broad array of Hub resources that he is so familiar with for the benefit of our Markham colleagues and we look forward to Mike’s leadership in his well deserved new role. Congratulations Mike!
Elaine Maloney, currently Vice President Corporate Insurance, will assume the role of Vice President Operations and will have operational responsibility for all Commercial Teams at Hub Sinclair Cockburn. Elaine has been with Sinclair Cockburn since 1994 and started as an Account Manager in the Commercial Lines. Since then Elaine has progressed through the organization and held a number of management positions with her most recent being Vice President. Congratulations Elaine, I am looking forward to working with you on our Ontario Executive Team!
Mike and Elaine will be working closely together to further integrate the operations of Hub Sinclair Cockburn with HUB International.
Steve Rocchi, who currently leads our HKMB Programs and Not-For-Profit Practice areas will be assuming the role of VP Operations at Hub HKMB. As a credit to the strength of the team that Steve has assembled to work with him he will be able to assume this role in addition to his current responsibilities . Steve will be reporting to Mike Tinker and Rob Keilty. Congratulations, Steve!
